Xinjiang is a Principal Engineer at The Aspen Group, where he builds solutions for healthcare brands including Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implants, WellNow Urgent Care, Lovet Pet Health Care, and Chapter Aesthetics Studio. Over more than 14 years, his work has spanned healthcare, grocery retail, and sports — from zero-to-one products to scaling existing platforms — and he's grown engineering teams from fewer than 5 to over 20 engineers while holding a high bar on code quality and accessibility.

Previously, he was a Principal Software Engineer at Peapod Digital Labs (now Ahold Delhaize USA) and a Senior Software Engineer at Peapod, focused on e-commerce powering major grocery chains including Stop & Shop, Food Lion, Giant, GIANT, Hannaford, and Martin's. Earlier, he built PrepHero from scratch as a Full Stack Software Engineer at EXACT Sports — a platform for camp registration and athletic recruiting. On the side, he builds GroceryTrack — an AI-powered way to see every item your household buys — and consults for Asian Pop-Up Cinema on Season 19 event organization.

What drives him is the chance to learn new technologies while solving real-world problems. When he's not coding, you'll find him reading at home or a nearby coffee shop, writing about what he's learning and sharing travel photography at xinjiangshao.com, experimenting in the kitchen, and running. In 2024 he added swimming to the routine — there's something meditative about learning a new skill that challenges both body and mind.
